As a thank you for taking out mortgage protection life insurance (with optional critical illness cover) or Barclays Simple Life Insurance, we'll give you a £75 e-voucher to spend on gifts from Simply Thank You (STY).
Terms, conditions and exclusions
These are the terms, conditions and exclusions of the life insurance offer for customers who get a quote and take out a policy for mortgage protection life insurance (with optional critical illness cover) or Barclays Simple Life Insurance. These terms and conditions are between you and us (Barclays Bank UK PLC).
The offer
The offer is available to customers who get a quote for mortgage protection life insurance (with optional critical illness cover) or Barclays Simple Life Insurance and go on to buy the insurance policy before the quote expires.
If you’re eligible, you’ll receive a £75 e-voucher to spend on a range of gifts from our partner STY. You need to get a quote for either mortgage protection life insurance (with optional critical illness cover) or Barclays Simple Life Insurance between 8 January and 31 May 2024, and go on to buy that policy before the quote expires.
You need to use your voucher by 31 May 2025. – it won’t be valid after this date. See below for additional eligibility criteria.
You’ll be eligible if
- You get a quote for mortgage protection life insurance (with optional critical illness cover) or Barclays Simple Life Insurance within the offer period of 8 January and 31 May 2024, and buy that policy before the quote expires. The expiry date will be shown on your quote
- You purchase either mortgage protection life insurance (with optional critical illness cover) or Barclays Simple Life Insurance. If you purchase both policies, you’ll only be eligible for one voucher
- You hold your life insurance policy for at least five months
- You’ve made five months of payments towards your policy
- You buy the policy outside of the offer period – you’ll still be eligible for the offer as long as you got the quote during the offer period and buy before the quote expires
- You provide a valid email address so you can be contacted about the offer
- You only claim once for this offer.
You won’t be eligible if
- You cancel your policy within 30 days of the policy’s start date or have any unpaid premiums
- You cancel the policy within five months after the first insurance policy premium is paid
- You’ve already used a life insurance voucher as part of one of our other STY offers relating to life insurance.
Please note
- Taking out this offer won’t affect your eligibility for other product offers outside of life insurance
- The voucher offer is valid per policy, so if you’re a joint policy holder you’ll only be eligible for one voucher
- You can purchase life insurance through the Barclays app1, Online Banking, over the phone or in a branch
- You don’t need to be an existing Barclays customer to be eligible
- You don’t need to have critical illness cover to be eligible

How the offer works
- Between months five and six of your policy starting, we’ll email you to tell you how to choose and receive your gifts from our partner STY
- Please visit STY to browse the range of gifts and vouchers available (all are subject to availability)
- We’ll share your name and email address with STY so that you can receive this offer
- You must use your voucher by 31 May 2025
- All items are subject to availability. If the item you choose isn’t available, STY will get in touch to offer you something else of equal or greater value. They won’t offer cash as an alternative. If you need to claim for non-delivery, damaged goods, or warranties, you should contact STY. We're not the supplier and we’re not responsible or liable for any issues with any goods provided under this offer
- We won’t be liable for any delays in contacting you or failure to deliver orders because of circumstances beyond our control
- The voucher can be redeemed with STY on a range of gifts including vouchers, flowers, chocolates and days out.

General terms and conditions
These terms and conditions are separate to your main agreement between you and Barclays Bank UK PLC.

- You are responsible for your own tax obligations. It’s your choice if you want to seek independent legal and tax advice. We’re not responsible for determining any tax liability you might have because you’re receiving the £75 voucher, and we’re not able to advise you on this.
