Find out how to set limits for various payment types, and view your PIN. You can also temporarily freeze a mislaid card, or report it lost or stolen.
How to view the ‘Your cards’ section
- Log in to your Barclays app
- Tap on ‘Your cards’ in the home screen, just below your account balance
All the registered cards you have with us – both Barclays and Barclaycard – will be displayed at the top of the screen, and we’ll only show you the options available for each card. Simply select which one you want to make any changes to and follow the menu underneath.
There are scenarios when your debit card settings may not be applied and a transaction will be approved1.
Temporary freeze
If you’ve misplaced your card, you can stop it from being used with the ‘Temporary freeze’ feature.
View card details
Need your card details but don’t have your card handy? You can see them securely in the app.
View PIN
Forgotten your PIN? You can view it securely in the app.
Travel wallet
Got a personal current account with us? You can buy currency in your app to spend on your debit card, to help avoid unpredictable rates and fees.
Set payment limits
You can put a limit on how much can be spent on your card in a single payment.
Cash withdrawal settings
Control how much money you can withdraw each day from cash machines, Post Office counters and shop checkouts – or switch off cash withdrawals altogether.
Contactless limit
Choose a contactless limit between £5 and £100, or turn contactless payments off altogether.
Control payments
Stop your card from being used with certain categories of retailers, like gambling or premium-rate websites and phonelines.
Online, phone and mail order payments
Control whether your card can be used to make payments in the app, online, or by phone.
In-store international spending
Control whether card payments can be made in shops, restaurants or retailers abroad.
Change your card design
Our personal current account holders can personalise their debit cards with their favourite photos – or choose one from our gallery.
Apple Pay
Link your debit or credit card to your Apple device.
Google Pay
Link your debit card to your Google Wallet.
