Unpaid Direct Debits

If your Direct Debit payment to your Barclaycard is marked as ‘unpaid’, but you had enough money in your account, it might be because the Direct Debit agreement has expired.

You’ll need to check with the bank or building society you sent the payment from to see if the Direct Debit instruction is still active. If it isn’t, you can set up a new one in your app.

Banks and building societies keep details of Direct Debit instructions for 24 months from the date of the last payment (36 months if you pay your Barclaycard from a current account with us).
