Mobile PINsentry for Online Banking
If you’ve registered for the Barclays app1, you can use Mobile PINsentry.
It can take up to 10 days to activate – you’ll see a pop-up message in the app when it’s ready.
You won’t need to be connected to a mobile network or be online to use it. You also won’t need to have your debit card or PIN with you.
We’ll never ask you to synchronise or re-calibrate Mobile PINsentry. If you ever get a message claiming to be from us asking you to do so, or something similar, it could be fraudulent.

Using Mobile PINsentry in the Barclays app
You can only use Mobile PINsentry to log in to Online Banking or authenticate certain transactions. This is for your security.
You can find Mobile PINsentry at the bottom of your app log-in page or select the Mobile PINsentry icon that’s below your accounts if you’ve already logged in.
Mobile PINsentry code isn’t working in Online Banking
You’ll need to generate a new code if the one you have isn’t working. You shouldn’t try the failed code again, as this could lock your account.
Make sure you generate the code before using Online Banking, as it’ll only work for 60 seconds. You must also check that the time and time zone on your device are set to British time zone (GMT/BST).
