How can I make sure I get notifications from the Barclays app on my phone or tablet?
You can use the Settings app on your smartphone or tablet to check that you’re set up to receive these messages when certain things happen with your account – such as confirmation that you’ve made a contactless payment.
For iPhones and iPads
- Open the Settings app on your device and select ‘Notifications’
- Choose the Barclays app (if you’ve already downloaded it)
- Check that ‘Allow notifications’ is switched on, so it’s coloured green
- Then log in to your Barclays app, tap ‘More’ at the bottom of the screen and open ‘Settings’
- Tap ‘Enable push notifications’ and check the button is switched on, so it’s coloured green
- That’s it – you’re all set to get notifications for your online purchases
For Android phones and tablets
- Open your Settings app, tap ‘Apps & notifications’ and then ‘Notifications’
- Choose the Barclays app (if you’ve already downloaded it)
- Check that ‘Allow notifications’ is switched on, so it’s coloured green
- Then log in to your Barclays app, tap ‘More’ at the bottom of the screen and open ‘Settings’
- Tap ‘Enable push notifications’ and check the button is switched on, so it’s coloured green
