Why does my mortgage year-end statement give a balance that's different than the balance you've given to me previously?
If you contact us to ask what your mortgage balance is, we'll give you an amount that's correct on the date you ask for it.
Your year-end statement, however, shows a summary of transactions made on the account for a full 12-month period (the start and end dates are shown on your statement). This means your statement balance may reflect payments, interest or fees that have been applied to the mortgage account since you asked us for your balance.
