Managing your Online Banking passcode and memorable word

You can access Online Banking through your 5-digit passcode and memorable word. Once you’ve registered for Online Banking we’ll send your passcode by post within five working days.

Log in to Online Banking

Once you've logged in to Online Banking using the passcode we’ve sent you, we’ll give you the option to change your passcode and set a memorable word to something easier to remember.

It’s important to remember your Online Banking passcode and keep it safe. For your security, we recommend changing the passcode we’ve sent you. If you want to continue using it, please make sure to tear the paper it’s printed on.

You can change your Online Banking passcode or memorable word at any time. You'll need to log in to Online Banking and:

  1. Select the drop-down menu under your profile on your home page
  2. Under ‘Personal details’, select ‘Change passcode and memorable word’
  3. Change your passcode and set up your memorable word
  4. Enter your details and select ‘Save’.

When creating a new passcode, you should avoid using numbers that are easy to guess, such as ‘12345’ or digits from your phone number.
