Pay in a cheque in the Barclays app
You can use your app to pay in cheques up to a total of £2,000 per day. If you pay in a cheque on a Saturday, Sunday or bank holiday, it’ll count towards your £2,000 daily limit for the next working day.
You’ll see the deposit in your account immediately and the money will be available by 11:59pm the next working day, if you paid it in before 4pm (Monday to Friday, not including bank holidays).
How to pay in a cheque in the app
- Select ‘Transfer’.
- Select ‘Pay in a cheque’.
- Choose the account you’d like to pay the cheque into, enter the amount and any reference.
- Follow the on-screen instructions for taking photos of your cheque
- When you’re ready, select 'Pay in cheque'.
Once you’ve done this, write 'paid in' on the back of the cheque and keep it for at least 10 days, in case we need to contact you about it.
