How can I buy and sell funds?
You can only buy into a fund once you’ve opened a Barclays Smart Investor ISA or Investment Account. To start investing, you’ll need to log into your account. You’ll then be able to select the fund you want to buy and the type of order you want to place. You can choose to make a one-off purchase or to invest regularly.
Alternatively, you can buy a fund over the telephone by calling us on 0800 279 3667* or 0141 352 3919*.
The next step should be to read the Key Investor Information Document (KIID) and disclosure document, which tell you briefly about the key features and risks of the fund you want to invest in. You can then select how much you want to invest. At this stage, you can choose if you want to deduct all fees from the amount you enter, or if you’d prefer to add the fees on top of your investment. You can review your order before confirming your instruction to buy.
When you sell a fund, you’ll need to select ‘£’ for a value-based transaction or ‘Quantity’ if it’s a unit-based transaction.
