Barclays income insurance

Barclays Income Insurance was an insurance policy designed to pay out an amount each month to supplement your income if you were unable to work because of accident, sickness or involuntary unemployment (depending on the level of cover you selected).

This insurance was standalone and optional, and wasn’t a condition of getting any other product from us. It was available in branch, online and may have been offered to you if you took out a mortgage with us.

Your policy was provided by Monument Insurance DAC, formerly Barclays Insurance (Dublin) DAC.
 

You’ll continue to be covered

• For as long as you continue to make your monthly payments, or
• Until you or we cancel your policy, or
• You retire

You won’t be eligible to make any claims for events that happen after your 70th birthday. 

Your monthly payments are based on the level and amount of cover your policy gives you. It’s important you review your policy regularly to make sure you have enough cover and that it continues to meet your needs.
