We’ve stopped offering new international mortgages, but you might be able to apply for one of our UK mortgages.

We regularly review the products and services we offer. As a result, we’ve decided to close our International Banking service in the UK. As you haven’t made any transactions for a while, we’ve decided to close your accounts instead of automatically moving you to one of our personal banking accounts – this helps to reduce any risk of potential fraud or identity theft.
We’ll only close the accounts in your letter after the specified date.
If you haven’t repaid any overdrawn balance in full by the closure date specified in your letter, we might pass your details onto our financial assistance team who’ll contact you about repaying this.
You can’t open a new International Banking account as we’ve decided to withdraw our UK International Banking services.

We need to let you know ahead of time if we plan to close your account. If the date specified in your letter has passed, our team will close your account shortly. You don’t need to do anything to chase this up.
No. When we close your account, it’ll disappear from your account overview, but you can still get statements for your International Banking accounts in your app or Online Banking.
