How to register for the Barclays app

You can get an activation code by calling us on +44 (0) 207 574 3001¹. The code can only be used once and is valid for 24 hours. If you don’t use it during that time, you’ll need to call for another code.

Step 1

• Open the app
• Create a five-digit passcode. You’ll need to enter it every time you use the app
• Confirm the number by entering the passcode again

Step 2

• Select ‘Enter an activation code'
• On the ‘Verify your details’ screen, enter your eight-digit activation code

Step 3

• Enter and confirm the mobile number
• Check the details you’ve entered are correct
• Carefully read through the terms and conditions

Step 4

• To link your mobile to the app, we’ll send you a text message with a six-digit code
• Enter the six-digit code
• Tap ‘Verify’ to continue

Step 5

• We’ll confirm that your registration is complete
• Tap ‘Continue’ to start using the app

Step 1

• On the ‘Your details’ screen, select ‘Enter your bank account details’ and then tap ‘Continue’
• Select ‘PINsentry card reader’ from the options displayed

Step 3

• Enter and confirm your mobile number
• Enter your account details and your name
• Carefully read through the terms and conditions

Step 4

• To link your mobile to the app, we’ll send you a text message with a six-digit code
• Enter the six-digit code
• Tap ‘Verify’ to continue

Step 5

• On the ‘Verifying account’ screen, select ‘PINsentry’
• Enter the last four digits from the long number on your debit card
• Slide your debit card into the PINsentry card reader and press the ‘Respond’ key
• Type in your PIN and press ‘Enter’
• The card reader will display an eight-digit code – enter this into the app and tap ‘Verify’

Step 6

• We’ll confirm that your registration is complete
• Tap ‘Continue’ to start using the app
